HISTORY
The Fire Side was established in 1995 by Ian Morrison in his home village of West Linton.
The business is now run by Jacqui Morrison, Ian’s wife, who joined the company part time in 2004. Ian started The Fire Side with his business partner Dave Murray. However, after a couple of years Dave made the decision to pursue other business opportunities and Ian took on the business himself. Working alongside Alistair Small, a knowledgeable installer with a solid reputation for high-quality workmanship Ian built the company into a successful business.’
Sadly, in 2011, Ian was diagnosed with cancer, at which time Jacqui – who is Hetas trained – began working full time and she is now sole director, and continues to work with Alistair Small to provide the same high quality service and after care that provide the foundations of the company’s enviable reputation. In 2018 Steve, the partner of Ian’s daughter Holly, joined The Fire Side hoping to keep this a family run business for years to come.
